“Mastin”
In 2012, when CrossFit Throne opened its doors, we had a few early members who were able to partner with our vision and hope for providing a world-class training facility to amazing people regardless of their athletic background. Nathan Mastin was one of them — and he stayed with us until 2017.
Nathan Dale Mastin met Jesus face to face on Monday, June 5th, 2017, probably with a fishing pole and hopefully a string of keepers.
Nate was born on February 19, 1979, to Roger Mastin and Karen Worley Mastin, in Odessa, Texas. He spent much of his childhood and teenage years with his grandmother, Mary Worley, whom he loved and adored. Nate graduated from Permian High School and was a Permian Panther through and through. He claimed Friday Night Lights as the all-time best movie, and you didn’t speak unkindly of the MOJO. Nate graduated from ENMU, in Portales, New Mexico where he played football on scholarship. He was a devoted husband to Cohee and an amazing dad to their 4 children: Hunter, Hartlee, Hayes and Hattie Kate.
Each year, we honor Nate and his family with a workout that only he would appreciate.
