CrossFit Throne fully believes that our athletes should have access to solid training and coaching. Our coaches are continually researching EVERYTHING about CrossFit and fitness to constantly improve CrossFit Throne’s commitment to high quality training and coaching. Six (sometimes 7) coaches ensures that you ALWAYS have a trusted source you can turn to with your questions!
Not only are these coaches becoming the absolute BEST at what they do, they’re also very easy to approach and have a keen ability to keep athletes hungry and pushing for the next level! Spend some time getting to know them, and you’ll have a friend for life!
Coach Jon Harwood (CF L1 Trainer, CF Kids, CF Gymnastics)
“I believe that EVERYONE is an athlete. God changed me in 2005: I stopped smoking, started training, and started paying attention to what I ate. The subsequent physical, mental, and spiritual benefits are immeasurable. And now I want to pay the same gift forward. You don’t need to “get good with God” before you go to church; AND you don’t need to be fit before you take physical training seriously. Climb the mountain, dare to fail, and get back up, over and over again – you NEVER reach the top, and you find that the journey IS the result! ANYONE can do CrossFit – will YOU?”
Coach Lauri Lovvorn (CF Level 1 Trainer, CF Mobility, CF Advanced Weight Lifting, CF Goal Setting)
Coach Lauri spends her free time training for Power Monkey, GORUCK, and SEALFIT events. “I train to continuously discover who God created me to be, and to serve others by helping them discover the same as they face and overcome adversity.”
Coach Veronica Soliz (CF Level 1 Trainer)
Coach Veronica became a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer at the end of 2014; she continues to sharpen her coaching skills, and if she gets any stronger, we will need to add her name to the men’s leaderboard at CrossFit Throne. Veronica has two daughters, works hard to provide for her family, and uses her determination to help encourage everyone around her. We are lucky to have her on staff!
Coach Jake Cuellar (CF Level 1 Trainer)
“I have always had the desire to help people, and I have always felt a sense of pride in being a part of something greater than myself. Coaching covers both of these for me. I believe athletes expect the absolute best effort from their coach, just as I expect the absolute best effort from them. With us working together athletes continue to grow and become a faster, stronger, and healthier versions of themselves. I have made this journey from new CrossFit athlete to CrossFit Trainer and the work I’ve put in has been multiplied and returned not only in CrossFit, but also in other facets of my life. If you are willing to put in the effort you will be rewarded.”
Coach Darryl Bokman (CF Level 1 Trainer, CF Endurance)
Darryl was introduced to CrossFit while in the military and has used it with great effect to maintain a high level of fitness over multiple deployments and day to day life. He is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer; additionally, he has earned his certification in CrossFit Endurance. “My goal is to help people achieve their goals [safely] and provide them the tools to carry out those goals, whether or not I am present.”
Coach Scott Janssen – when he’s in town (CF Level 1 Trainer, CF Gymnastics)
Scott completed his undergrad at Texas Tech University. He is committed to growing as a coach and seeing his athletes improve in their form and functional strength. Scott has a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and he has also been earned his CrossFit Gymnastics certification.
